What the call status describes

The call status indicates what happened technically with a call attempt. It answers the question of whether a conversation took place at all. The call status is clearly different from the substantive result: whether a contact was reached says nothing about how the conversation went in terms of content.

Possible status values

  • Active call: The call is currently in progress. See active call.
  • Connected: The contact answered the call and a conversation took place.
  • No answer: The contact did not pick up. See no answer.
  • Busy: The line was occupied. See busy.
  • Technical error: The call could not be carried out as intended for technical reasons. See technical error.
  • Callback scheduled: A callback has been noted for the contact. See callback scheduled.

Which status values appear depends on how the individual call attempt went. The exact label in the interface may evolve; use the described meaning as your guide.

Status and billing

Only connected talk time is relevant for usage billing. A call with the status no answer, busy or technical error produces no connected talk time and is therefore not billed. For details, see which calls are not billed?.

Hinweis: The call status describes the call attempt. You find the substantive result of a conversation that took place under call outcome.

When a contact was not reached

Depending on the campaign configuration, a contact that was not reached remains scheduled for further call attempts. How Nexcal processes leads is described in how Nexcal processes leads.
