Why a lead was not called
Sometimes a lead stays uncalled in a campaign even though it is assigned. This is usually not an error but the result of the rules by which Nexcal processes leads. This article explains the most common reasons.
Common reasons
- Closed calling window: the lead falls outside the permitted calling hours. The underlying rules are described in calling window and runtime rules.
- Campaign paused or finished: no new contacts are dialed for a paused or finished campaign.
- Capacity fully used: your available concurrency is fully occupied, so the lead waits in the lead queue.
- Exclusion or opt-out: the contact is excluded by a do-not-call or opt-out rule. See do-not-call and opt-out.
- Invalid or missing phone number: without a valid number, no call can be placed.
- Capacity or usage limit reached: a limit that has been reached can prevent further calls.
How to proceed
- Check whether the campaign is active and within the calling window.
- Check the lead status of the affected contact.
- Check the phone number and any exclusions.
- Check whether a capacity or usage limit has been reached.
If you cannot find a reason
If it remains unclear why a lead was not called, contact support with the campaign and the affected lead.
Hinweis: A waiting lead is not the same as an unreachable contact. Waiting leads are processed as soon as the conditions are met again.
