Calling window and runtime rules

What a campaign's calling window and runtime rules control and how you set the permitted calling hours.

What the calling window controls

A campaign's calling window defines the periods during which Nexcal may call contacts. Together with the other runtime rules, it controls when calls take place and when a campaign waits even though it is active.

What the calling window is for

The calling window helps you reach contacts only at appropriate times and observe legal and internal requirements. A well-chosen window also improves reachability, because calls fall into suitable times of day.

What you define

  • the permitted calling hours per day;
  • the weekdays on which calls may take place;
  • the relevant time zone for these hours.

If a moment falls outside the window, Nexcal waits until the next permitted window begins. The affected leads stay in the lead queue and are not skipped.

How it works with the runtime

The runtime rules are part of the campaign configuration and are saved at start as part of the campaign state. Within the window, Nexcal processes leads within your plan's concurrency limits.

Hinweis: A lead that falls outside the calling window is not an error. Why a contact has not been called yet is explained in why a lead was not called.

Responsibility for permitted times

Nexcal provides the function to configure the calling window. Choosing legally permitted calling times remains your responsibility. For guidance, see compliance requirements before campaign start.
