How Nexcal processes leads

When a campaign goes into production, Nexcal takes the assigned leads and works through them in a controlled order. You do not trigger the calls one by one; the platform decides which lead is called when, while respecting the campaign and runtime rules.

From lead to dialing order

At start, the assigned leads move into the lead queue. Nexcal continuously picks the next contacts from this queue and places calls. How many conversations can run at the same time depends on your plan and is described in concurrency limits.

What controls the flow

Several rules determine whether and when a lead is called:

  • the calling window, meaning the campaign's permitted calling hours;
  • the concurrency available on your plan;
  • the current lead status;
  • an assigned caller ID that has been approved.

A lead moves through several states, such as waiting, active call or a final result. The individual call statuses like no answer, busy or technical error are explained in their own articles.

What Nexcal does not do

Nexcal only calls leads within the calling window and within your capacity. Contacts with an exclusion or opt-out are not dialed. Why an individual lead was not called is explained in why a lead was not called.

Hinweis: Only connected talk time is billed, to the second. Unanswered calls as well as preview and test calls are not billed.
