Pausing and resuming a campaign

You can pause a running campaign at any time and resume it later. When you pause, Nexcal stops beginning new calls. When you resume, the campaign continues processing the remaining leads.

When a pause is useful

A pause makes sense when you want to halt operation temporarily, for example:

  • outside suitable calling times;
  • while you review results;
  • for short-term organizational reasons.

For regular calling times, use the calling window and runtime rules rather than pausing manually.

What happens to the lead queue

During the pause, the leads that have not yet been called remain in the lead queue. Nexcal begins no new calls. Conversations that have already begun are not cut off mid-sentence but brought to a controlled end. When you resume, Nexcal continues processing the remaining leads.

How to do it

  1. Open the running campaign.
  2. Choose to pause in order to stop new calls.
  3. Resume the campaign when operation should continue.

Technical background on the process is described in pause and resume.

The campaign state is retained

Pausing and resuming do not change the saved campaign state. After resuming, the campaign continues on the same basis as before.

Hinweis: A pause does not finish the campaign. Once a campaign is complete, you can archive it.
