Public lead intake
Public lead intake receives leads through a defined public entry point and passes them to your workspace. This lets external sources that are not directly connected to your internal systems send contact data to Nexcal. The received leads are then processed like other contacts in your workspace.
Availability
Public lead intake is available from the Power plan and is included in Enterprise. It is not available in Starter and Pro. For details on availability by plan, see plans and feature scope.
Typical use cases
- Receiving leads from partners or external campaigns.
- Consolidating leads from several public sources.
- Handing over contact data from systems that have no direct connection.
Security and access
A public entry point requires careful protection. The entry point identifies your workspace and should be secured accordingly. How integrations are authenticated is described in integration authentication.
Wichtig: Check which external sources may submit leads, and make sure the contact data handed over was collected lawfully. Responsibility for permitted use rests with you.
After the handover
Received leads do not trigger a call automatically. They are only called once they are assigned to an active campaign. See assigning leads to a campaign.
How it differs from the Form API
Public lead intake and the Form API pursue a similar goal but differ in their entry point. The Form API is intended for connecting your own controlled systems. Public lead intake receives leads through a public entry point and therefore requires special attention to security and to the choice of permitted sources.
