What the next step means
The next step summarizes what should follow after a conversation. It connects the call outcome with a concrete follow-up action and helps you follow up on conversations in a targeted way without having to read each transcript individually.
The next step results from the actual course of the conversation and the goals of your campaign. The voice agent derives it within the rules you set and does not promise actions that are not configured.
Typical next steps
- a booked or requested appointment, see appointment link;
- a scheduled callback, see callback status;
- contacting the person again at a later time;
- no further step, for example with a clear lack of interest or an opt-out.
Which options are possible depends on the campaign type and the configured result fields.
Hinweis: An opt-out or stop request does not lead to further contact. How Nexcal handles such requests is described in do-not-call and opt-out.
From next step to execution
The next step is a result of the documentation, not an automatic execution outside the configured processes. If appointment booking is set up, for example, an appointment can result directly from it. If a callback is intended, it is noted accordingly. How Nexcal processes leads overall is described in how Nexcal processes leads.
