Limit reached

The difference between plan capacity limits and limits on call usage, and how to proceed when you see such a message.

Limit reached

Nexcal has several limits: plan capacity limits and limits on call usage. This article explains which message means what and how to proceed.

Plan capacity limits

Capacity limits result from your plan, such as the number of users, active campaigns, concurrent calls, caller IDs or custom voices. When such a limit is reached, the corresponding resource cannot be increased further without freeing up space or changing the plan.

  • For active campaigns: finish or archive a campaign. See active campaigns.
  • For users: remove an account or expand seats. See users and seats.
  • For concurrent calls: utilization drops automatically as conversations end. See concurrent calls.

Limits on call usage

Using up the included minutes is distinct from reaching a capacity limit. For Starter, Pro and Power, further connected talk time is billed based on usage. For Enterprise, additional usage and whether it continues depend on the individual agreement; contact support if you need clarification. For details, see included minutes and call usage and additional call usage.

If Nexcal explicitly displays a usage-limit or capacity-limit message, check which type of limit it refers to. This is different from merely using up the monthly allowance.

How to proceed

  1. Check whether it is a capacity or a usage limit.
  2. For capacity limits, free up space or change the plan.
  3. If only the included minutes are used up, usage-based billing applies to Starter, Pro and Power; for Enterprise, check the individual agreement.
  4. If a limit message persists, support can help clarify it.

Hinweis: Capacity limits and usage limits are different things. A full campaign slot has nothing to do with connected talk time.
