Credits and balance

In addition to the monthly platform price, your workspace may have a balance for call usage. This article explains how balance and connected talk time relate.

How the balance relates to usage

Call usage is recorded based on connected talk time, counted to the second. An existing balance covers this usage. Unanswered calls as well as preview and test calls are not billable and do not reduce the balance.

  • Usage is based on connected talk time.
  • The balance covers billable usage.
  • The platform price is separate from usage.

Balance and platform price

The balance for usage and the monthly platform price are two separate levels. The platform price covers the feature scope and capacities of your plan. The balance relates to actual talk time. How usage is generated is described in understanding call usage.

Topping up the balance

Additional usage can be provided through usage packages. Which specific packages and terms are available for your workspace depends on your billing configuration.

Hinweis: Specific balance and expiry rules depend on your individual billing configuration. Nexcal does not charge flat amounts per call; what matters is connected talk time.

When the balance runs low

If the balance or a usage limit is reached, further processing may be restricted. How to proceed in this case is described in limit reached.
