Understanding workspace and user account

The difference between the shared workspace and your personal user account, and how both work together with your role.

Workspace and user account

Nexcal has two central layers: the workspace and your personal user account. They are connected but serve different purposes. Understanding this separation helps you find your way around the platform faster.

The workspace

The workspace is your company's working environment in Nexcal. It brings together all shared data and functions, including:

  • contacts and lead lists;
  • campaigns and their configuration;
  • caller IDs and voices;
  • company verification;
  • users and their roles;
  • usage, plan and invoice data.

All members of a workspace work on the same data. Changes to a campaign or lead list are therefore visible to members who are permitted to see them. For a detailed explanation, see what is a workspace?.

Your user account

Your user account is your personal access. It is tied to your email address and carries your role in the workspace. Through the account you manage, among other things:

  • your sign-in details;
  • your name and contact information;
  • your language and display settings.

One user account can belong to several workspaces. In that case you select the relevant workspace after signing in.

How account and role work together

What you can see and do in the workspace depends on your role. One person may manage campaigns while another may only view results. The role logic is described in roles and permissions.

Hinweis: Managing the plan, usage and company verification requires the corresponding permissions. If a function is missing, check your role or contact the person who manages the workspace.
