Checklist for your first production call

This checklist takes you from an empty workspace to your first production call. Work through the points in order. A production start is only possible once the required approvals are in place.

Before you start

Make sure the following basics are in place:

  • You are signed in to your workspace.
  • You have a role with the necessary permissions.
  • Your plan covers the feature scope you are planning to use.

The checklist at a glance

  1. Verify your company: Submit your company details and wait for approval. See submitting company verification.
  2. Approve a caller ID: Add a phone number, verify it and let the Nexcal review complete. See adding a caller ID.
  3. Import contacts: Prepare a CSV file and import your contacts. See importing a CSV file.
  4. Assemble a lead list: Group the contacts to be called into a lead list.
  5. Configure the campaign: Define the campaign goal, script, knowledge and result fields. Configure appointment booking if needed.
  6. Assign caller ID and voice: Assign an approved number and a voice to the campaign.
  7. Test first: Check the campaign with a test call before you go into production. Test and preview calls are not billed.
  8. Start the campaign: Launch the campaign. See starting a campaign.

What is checked at start

Before a production start, Nexcal checks the workspace, company approval, the caller ID, the assigned leads and the campaign settings, among other things. If a requirement is missing, the start stays blocked.

Wichtig: A campaign must not start in production before the required company verification and an approved caller ID are in place.

If the start is blocked

If the start is interrupted, Nexcal usually points to the missing requirement. Common causes are an open company review, a caller ID that is not yet approved or missing leads. The article fixing campaign start errors can help.
