Importing a CSV file

The CSV import is the fastest way to bring many contacts into Nexcal at once. Prepare the file carefully beforehand so the import succeeds without rework. You can find guidance in preparing a CSV file.

Requirements

  • a CSV file with a header row and UTF-8 encoding;
  • phone numbers in international format;
  • required fields filled in on every row;
  • a role with permission to import contacts.

Import step by step

  1. Start the import in the contacts and lead lists area and select your CSV file.
  2. Map the columns of your file to the Nexcal fields. See column mapping during import for details.
  3. Review the preview to check the mapping and data quality.
  4. Confirm the import and wait for the summary.

Understanding the import summary

After the import, Nexcal shows a summary. It indicates how many records were imported and which rows were flagged or rejected, for example due to empty required fields, invalid phone numbers or detected duplicates.

Hinweis: Correct the flagged rows in the source file and import it again, instead of adding individual records manually afterwards.

After the import

The imported contacts are then available in the workspace. Group the contacts to be called into a lead list and assign it to a campaign. To see how to get from here to your first call, see the checklist for your first production call.
