What the booking rate measures

The booking rate shows the share of calls that resulted in an appointment. It is the central success metric especially for appointment campaigns. The metric is based on the bookings and appointment links documented in the calls.

For the booking rate to be meaningful, appointment booking must be configured in the campaign. How booking works in Nexcal is explained in booking in Nexcal.

How the booking rate is calculated

The booking rate relates the number of appointments that came about to the calls held. Depending on the view, you can distinguish:

  • appointments in relation to all connected calls;
  • appointments in relation to reached, qualified contacts.

Both views are useful. The first shows the overall effect of the campaign, the second the effectiveness within a qualified conversation.

Understanding a low booking rate

A low booking rate can have several causes:

  • The target group does not match the offer.
  • The goal of the call is addressed too late or unclearly.
  • Common objections are not handled sufficiently.
  • The offered time slots do not suit the contact.

For root-cause analysis, use the objection analysis and the abort reasons. Concrete improvement suggestions are provided by the AI-powered recommendations from the Pro plan onwards.

Hinweis: A booking requires a correctly configured appointment booking. If booking is not enabled, the booking rate carries no meaning.
