What booking means in Nexcal
Booking refers to the appointment process an AI voice agent is allowed to trigger during a conversation. Whether and how an appointment is created depends entirely on the booking settings of the individual campaign. If booking is not configured, the agent does not promise appointments and does not deviate from the campaign goal.
Booking is therefore not a standalone module but part of the campaign logic. The agent only offers the appointment paths you have released beforehand and records every appointment request in a structured way in the call result.
The available appointment paths
Nexcal supports several configurable appointment paths. Which of them are active is defined in the booking settings:
- Directly booked appointment: The agent books a specific slot during the conversation.
- Offered appointment: The agent proposes one or more time slots.
- Appointment request: The wish is captured as a request and processed later.
- Callback: Instead of an appointment, a callback request is recorded.
- Static meeting link: The contact receives a fixed booking or meeting link.
- Confirmation email: sent when it is enabled and available.
Booking and the campaign goal
Booking is most closely tied to the appointment campaign, whose goal is to arrange an appointment. You can also add appointment paths to other campaign types, for example to capture a callback. The actual configuration is done in the booking settings of the campaign.
The Nexcal Calendar is the internal appointment management that works without an external connection. How it represents available times is described in the article Nexcal Calendar.
Hinweis: The agent only offers the appointment paths released in the booking settings of the individual campaign. Without an active configuration, no appointment is arranged.
