Understanding booking status
The booking status shows the state an appointment request is in after the conversation. It is documented in a structured way in the call result and makes it traceable whether an appointment was merely offered, requested or actually booked. This lets you evaluate the results of a campaign reliably.
The status results from the configured appointment type and the course of the conversation. The AI voice agent does not set a status that is not supported by the conversation.
Possible booking statuses
Nexcal distinguishes the following statuses:
- Not offered: No appointment was offered, for example because no appointment path was configured or the conversation went differently.
- Offered: The agent proposed one or more time slots.
- Requested: The appointment wish was captured as a request and is processed later.
- Booked: A specific appointment was arranged bindingly.
- Failed: An appointment was meant to be created but could not be completed.
How the status is created
- The configured appointment type defines which statuses are possible at all.
- The course of the conversation determines which status is actually reached.
- The status is documented together with the call result.
- In the call results, you can trace the status for each conversation.
How a booked appointment is linked to the call result is described in the article appointment link.
Hinweis: An offered or requested appointment is not yet a booked appointment. When evaluating, take care to distinguish the statuses clearly so that you classify the results correctly.
Booking status and evaluation
The booking status is an important building block for assessing an appointment campaign. It shows how often appointments were offered, requested or booked. If an appointment does not succeed, the article failed bookings helps with the classification.
