Retention rules
Retention rules determine how long data is stored in Nexcal. They cover contact data, call data, documentation and, where present, recordings. This article explains the basics; the legal documents are binding.
Which data is affected
- Contact data: master and assignment data of your contacts.
- Call data: status, outcome and metadata of calls.
- Documentation: transcripts and summaries.
- Recordings: only if they were created.
A different storage period can apply to each type of data. The specific arrangement depends on your usage and the applicable requirements.
Principles of retention
- Data is stored for as long as it is needed for the respective purpose.
- Data that is no longer needed should be removed.
- Different periods can apply to different types of data.
- Recordings should be kept only for as long as they are actually needed.
- Fewer imported fields mean less effort for retention.
Nexcal provides technical and organizational functions for controlled and privacy-oriented use. The customer remains responsible for configuring and running their campaigns lawfully.
Hinweis: Regularly review which contacts and call data you still actually need, and use the deletion and export functions provided.
Deletion and export
To remove data, use account deletion and workspace deletion. To hand over data, use the data export. The view for the retention of individual calls is described in retention and deletion.
