Account deletion
Account deletion removes your personal user account from Nexcal. It is distinct from workspace deletion: deleting a user account does not automatically remove the data of a workspace. This article explains the differences and the process.
Account deletion versus workspace deletion
- Account deletion: affects your personal access and your sign-in details.
- Workspace deletion: affects the shared working environment with contacts, campaigns and results.
If you belong to several workspaces, account deletion affects your access, not necessarily the data of the individual workspaces. Deleting a workspace is described in workspace deletion.
Before you delete
- Back up any data you need in advance using the data export.
- Check whether you are the last managing user of a workspace.
- Resolve open tasks that require your access.
Wichtig: Account deletion cannot easily be undone. Back up any required data before you start the deletion.
The deletion process
Account deletion requires the corresponding permissions and confirmations. Binding information on the process is available under account deletion. If you need support, contact support.
Impact on data
Data that remains in a workspace after your account is deleted follows the retention rules and the settings of the respective workspace. If you want to remove both your access and the shared data, a workspace deletion is additionally required. Back up any content you need beforehand using the data export.
