Roles and permissions
In a workspace, every user is assigned a role. The role determines which areas are visible and which actions are allowed. This lets you control who manages campaigns, who changes sensitive settings and who only views results.
Why roles exist
Roles separate responsibility and access. This protects sensitive areas such as company verification, caller IDs and billing. At the same time, several people can work on campaigns together without every person needing to change all settings.
Typical permission areas
Permissions are tied to functional areas. Depending on the role, a user may, for example:
- create and maintain contacts and lead lists;
- create, configure and start campaigns;
- manage caller IDs and voices;
- view call results and analytics;
- manage users, roles and company details;
- view or change plan, usage and invoice data.
Not every role covers all areas. Administrative tasks such as company verification or billing are usually reserved for a smaller group.
What to do if a function is missing
If an area or action is missing, it is often due to your role. In that case, check:
- Which role you have in the current workspace.
- Whether the function you want is part of your plan's feature scope.
- Whether a person with an administrative role can adjust the permission.
Hinweis: The number of possible users depends on the plan. For details, see users and seats.
Considering roles and plan together
Roles control access within a workspace. The plan controls the available feature scope. The two work together: a function must be covered by the plan and enabled for your role. Read more about feature scope in plans and feature scope.
