When a campaign can be deleted
Whether a campaign can be deleted depends on its state. A draft that has never started in production can be deleted. A campaign that has already started is not deleted like a draft, so that results and the historical campaign state are retained.
Deleting drafts
A draft does not yet contain production results. As long as it has not been started, you can remove it when you no longer need it.
- Open the draft.
- Choose to delete.
- Confirm the action.
Why started campaigns are treated differently
With the start, a versioned campaign state and conversation results are created. This data makes your campaign traceable and auditable. Therefore, started campaigns are not deleted like drafts but paused, finished or archived.
What deleting a draft removes
Deleting a draft removes its configuration and the assignment that has not yet been used in production. Imported contacts and lead lists are not affected, because they are managed in the workspace independently of the campaign. You can therefore assign the same contacts to a new campaign at any time.
Alternatives to deleting
- Pause: halt operation temporarily. See pausing and resuming a campaign.
- Archive: complete the campaign and remove it from the active view. See archiving a campaign.
Wichtig: Deleting a draft cannot be undone. Before deleting, check whether you still need the configuration.
