Technical error

The technical error status means a call could not be carried out as intended for technical reasons. The connection setup or the processing failed without a regular conversation taking place.

How a technical error occurs

A technical error can have several causes, such as:

  • a failed connection in the phone network;
  • a disruption during connection setup;
  • a problem while processing the call.

A technical error therefore differs from no answer and busy. In those cases the connection setup works in principle, whereas with a technical error the attempt itself is not completed regularly.

Billing

If no conversation takes place, no connected talk time is created. Because only connected talk time is billed, a technical error without a conversation is not billed.

What you can do

Individual technical errors can occur with phone connections and often affect only a single attempt. If errors accumulate in a campaign, first check the assigned caller ID and its approval as well as the campaign settings. If the problem persists, contact support with the campaign and an affected time.

Hinweis: A technical error is not a conversational result. It says nothing about the contact's reachability or interest.

Monitoring technical errors

Always assess technical errors in relation to the total number of attempts. Occasional errors are normal for phone connections and require no action. If the share rises noticeably or affects a particular caller ID, document the period and the affected campaign. These details help support narrow down the cause more quickly.
