What is a caller ID?
A caller ID is the phone number shown on the display of the person you call with Nexcal. It is the visible way your company is recognized during the conversation. In Nexcal, every caller ID is managed centrally in the workspace and must be approved before it can be used in production campaigns.
A caller ID is tied to your workspace. All permitted members can select approved numbers for their campaigns. How many caller IDs are available to you depends on your plan.
Why approval is required
Nexcal requires approval for every caller ID so that only numbers you are actually allowed to use are put into service. This process protects your company and the people you call and is a prerequisite for a production campaign start.
The path to an approved caller ID has three separate steps:
- Technical verification: you prove that you control the phone number.
- Nexcal review: Nexcal then reviews the number.
- Final approval: only after this can the number be assigned to production campaigns.
How to reach approval
- Add the phone number in your workspace. See adding a caller ID.
- Complete verifying the phone number.
- Wait for the Nexcal review of your caller ID.
- Assign the approved number to a campaign.
Hinweis: A campaign must not start in production before the required company verification and an approved caller ID are in place.
