Understanding caller ID status
Every caller ID moves through several stages before it can be used in production. The status shows you where a number stands in the approval process and whether anything still needs to be done.
The stages at a glance
A caller ID follows the approval process of verification, Nexcal review and approval:
- Verification pending: the number has been added, but access is not yet confirmed.
- Verified: access to the number is proven; the Nexcal review can follow.
- In review: Nexcal is reviewing the number for production use.
- Approved: the number can be assigned to campaigns and used in production.
- Rejected or revoked: the number cannot be used, or can no longer be used.
Hinweis: The exact status labels may differ in the application. Use the described sequence of verification, review and approval as your guide.
What you can do at each status
- Verification pending: complete the verification.
- In review: wait for the result of the Nexcal review.
- Approved: assign the number to a campaign.
- Rejected or revoked: check the cause and add a different number if needed.
This way you can see at a glance whether a number is ready or a step is still open.
What the status means for campaigns
Only an approved caller ID can be assigned to a campaign and used in production. If a number is still in an earlier status, the production campaign start stays blocked. For details, see assigning a caller ID to a campaign.
If a number is rejected or revoked
If a number changes to rejected or revoked, it cannot be used in production. The possible causes and next steps are described in rejected or revoked numbers.
