What versioned changes are
Versioned changes record how the configuration of a campaign develops over time. Each applied adjustment is saved as its own state instead of simply overwriting an earlier version. This keeps a traceable record of what was changed, when and for what reason.
Versioning applies in particular when you apply an AI-powered recommendation. The detailed tracking of applied changes is included from the Pro plan onwards.
Why changes are versioned
A traceable history has several advantages:
- You can attribute the effect of an adjustment to a specific version.
- You can see which change led to a shift in the metrics.
- You keep an overview when several people work on a campaign.
This principle matches the versioned campaign state that is created when a campaign starts. You can find details in what is saved at campaign start.
What a version covers
A version documents the applied change with its time and the affected area, such as the script, AI layer, objection handling or knowledge. This lets you place a later before/after preview in context and read the course of an optimization step by step.
To be able to evaluate changes cleanly, it is advisable to apply only one adjustment at a time and to wait for its effect.
Hinweis: Campaigns that have already started are protected from unintended changes. The article why campaign settings are locked after start explains why.
