Removing contacts from a lead list
Sometimes a contact no longer belongs in a particular lead list, for example because it was assigned to the wrong target group or should not be called. Removing it from the list is the right step for this.
What happens when you remove
When you remove a contact from a lead list, only the connection between the contact and the list is dissolved. The contact itself stays in the workspace and can still be used in other lists.
Removing from a list is therefore clearly different from deleting a contact.
Step by step
- Open the lead list in question.
- Select the contacts you want to remove.
- Remove the selection from the list.
Wichtig: If the lead list is assigned to a running campaign, removing contacts can affect processing. Check the campaign context before you remove contacts.
Scope of the action
- Lead-list level: the assignment to the list is removed.
- Contact level: the core data stays unchanged.
- Campaign level: conversation results already produced are retained.
If you want to remove a contact from your base permanently, that is a separate action at the contact level, not removal from a list.
Common questions
Is the contact deleted in the process?
No. Removing only dissolves the connection between the contact and the list. The contact stays in the workspace and can still be used.
Are results already produced lost?
No. Conversation results already documented for a campaign are retained, even if you remove the contact from the list.
How do I remove a contact permanently?
Removing a contact from your base permanently is a separate action at the contact level. It differs from removing it from a single lead list.
