Creating lead lists
A lead list groups the contacts you want to call in a campaign. It is the link between your contact base and a specific campaign.
What lead lists are for
- They group contacts thematically or organizationally.
- They form the basis for assigning leads to a campaign.
- They help you keep different target groups cleanly separated.
A contact can appear in several lead lists. The list references the contacts without duplicating them.
Creating a lead list
- Open the lead lists area and start creating a new list.
- Give it a meaningful name that makes the target group recognizable.
- Save the list.
- Then add contacts.
How to add contacts is described in adding contacts to a lead list.
From the list to the campaign
Once a lead list contains contacts, you can assign it to a campaign. Only then do the contacts become callable leads. See assigning leads to a campaign.
Hinweis: A clear naming scheme, for example by target group or time period, makes it easier to pick the right list for a campaign later.
Common questions
How many lead lists can I create?
This article does not state a fixed upper limit for lead lists. Focus instead on a clear structure so you can assign the right list to a campaign.
Can a contact appear in several lists?
Yes. The list references the contacts without duplicating them. The same contact can therefore be used in several lead lists and campaigns.
How should I name lead lists?
A consistent scheme, for example by target group, region or time period, makes later selection easier and prevents mix-ups.
