Creating contacts manually

In addition to the CSV import, you can create individual contacts directly in Nexcal. This is convenient when you only want to add a few records or need to add a contact at short notice.

When manual creation is a good fit

  • for individual, new contacts;
  • to quickly add an important number;
  • when no structured file is available.

For larger volumes, the CSV import is the more efficient route.

Step by step

  1. Open the contacts area and start creating a new contact.
  2. Enter the phone number in international format.
  3. Add optional details such as name or company.
  4. Save the contact.

Which details are required or optional is described in required and optional contact fields.

After creating a contact

The new contact is available in the workspace. To make it callable, add it to a lead list and assign the list to a campaign. See adding contacts to a lead list.

Hinweis: A newly created contact is not called automatically. Only through a lead list and an assigned campaign does the contact become a callable lead.

Common questions

Can I add a contact to several lead lists?

Yes. A contact stays in the workspace and can be used in several lead lists. Create the contact once and then add it to the lists you want.

What happens if the phone number is incomplete?

If the country code is missing or the number contains disallowed characters, the contact cannot be processed as a lead. In that case, check the notation as described in formatting phone numbers correctly.

Can I edit a manually created contact later?

Yes. A contact's core data can be adjusted at any time. Changes apply to all lead lists the contact is part of.
