Testing a campaign before launch
Before you start a campaign in production, you should check it. With test and preview calls you hear how the voice agent phrases things, whether the script holds up and whether results are captured correctly. Test and preview calls are not billed.
What the test is for
A test helps you see whether:
- the opening fits;
- the agent pursues the campaign goal;
- questions are answered sensibly;
- the result fields are filled cleanly;
- the chosen voice and pronunciation are right.
Requirements
- The campaign is largely configured in draft.
- A voice is selected. See selecting the voice.
- For a meaningful test, the script, knowledge and result fields are in place.
Difference between preview and production call
A preview or test call serves only for checking and is not billed as connected talk time. A production call is part of the running campaign and counts toward usage. The distinction is explained in preview calls and production calls.
How to do it
- Open the campaign in draft.
- Start a test or preview call according to the available options.
- Listen to the conversation and check the captured result.
- Adjust the script, knowledge or result fields if needed.
- Repeat the test until the result is convincing.
Hinweis: A test does not replace the required approvals. For a production start, company verification and an approved caller ID must still be in place.
