Preview calls and production calls
Before a campaign starts in production, you can check it with a test call. Nexcal distinguishes between preview calls, which serve testing, and production calls, which take place as part of a running campaign. Both behave similarly during the conversation but differ in purpose and billing.
Preview calls
A preview call is used to check a campaign before the production start. You hear how the agent phrases the opening, responds to questions and pursues the conversation goal. This lets you tell early on whether the script, knowledge and objection rules are coherent. How to test a campaign is described in testing a campaign before launch.
Production calls
Production calls take place as part of a started campaign. They reach your contacts and leads and produce the results that are documented in the result fields. A production start is only possible once the required approvals are in place, for example the company verification and an approved caller ID.
Differences in billing
A key difference concerns billing:
- Call usage is measured by connected talk time, to the second.
- Preview calls and test calls are not billed.
- Unanswered calls are also not billed.
Details are described in preview calls and test calls.
Hinweis: Use preview calls to check your campaign carefully. This avoids situations where avoidable mistakes only surface in production.
Documentation of preview and production calls
The documentation also differs. How preview calls and production calls appear in the conversation results is described in preview vs. production call documentation.
