How a Nexcal call is structured
A Nexcal call is not a free-form chat; it follows a clear structure. The AI voice agent phrases things naturally but stays within the settings you defined in the campaign. This keeps every conversation traceable and tied to your campaign goal.
The layers of a conversation
Several layers work together in every call:
- The campaign goal defines what the conversation should achieve.
- The script acts as the conversation guardrail and sets the thread.
- The AI layer adds further campaign rules.
- Knowledge provides the factual basis for questions.
- Objection rules define the permitted handling of objections.
- Result fields determine which results are captured.
- Booking settings define the permitted appointment process.
The voice agent phrases within these settings. It may adjust the order slightly and respond to questions, but it does not deviate from the campaign goal.
A typical call flow
- Opening: The agent greets the contact and states the reason for the call.
- Conversation: The agent pursues the campaign goal, asks questions and answers queries using the knowledge.
- Objection handling: When objections arise, the agent responds within the configured rules.
- Result: The agent captures the configured result fields and, where provided, initiates an appointment booking or a callback.
- Call ending: The agent ends the call cleanly once the goal is reached or the contact wants to end the conversation.
What the agent does not do
The agent does not invent offers, does not bypass compliance rules and does not promise appointments without the corresponding configuration. After a clear end of conversation, it does not keep arguing.
Hinweis: How natural and focused a conversation is depends heavily on the quality of your configuration. A clear goal, a clean script and well-maintained knowledge are the basis of good conversations.
