Selecting the voice

How to assign a voice to a campaign, when a standard voice is enough and when a custom voice makes sense.

Selecting the voice

The voice determines how your campaign's voice agent sounds. You assign a standard voice or a custom voice to the campaign. The choice affects the sound, not the content of the conversation; the content still follows the campaign goal, script and rules.

Requirements

  • The campaign exists as a draft.
  • For a custom voice, a custom voice must be available in the workspace.

Standard voice or custom voice

  • Standard voice: in most cases a standard voice is enough. They are available in all plans. See choosing standard voices.
  • Custom voice: a custom voice is useful when your campaign needs a recognizable sound. See custom voice.

Plan-dependent availability

Custom voices depend on the plan: Starter includes no custom voice, Pro one, Power up to 3 and Enterprise from 10. For details, see standard and custom voices.

How to do it

  1. Open the campaign in draft.
  2. In the voice section, select an available standard or custom voice.
  3. Save the selection.
  4. Check the sound with a preview or a test call.

Check before the start

Listen to the selected voice in advance so that it fits the campaign and audience. Options are described in voice preview and test call. Preview and test calls are not billed.

Hinweis: The assigned voice becomes part of the saved campaign state at start. If you want to use a different voice later, you usually set up a new campaign for that.
