Assigning leads to a campaign
Before a campaign can call, it needs contacts. You assign the leads to be called to a campaign through one or more lead lists. Without assigned leads, the campaign start stays blocked.
Requirements
- Your contacts are imported or created. See importing a CSV file.
- The contacts to be called are grouped in a lead list.
- The campaign exists as a draft.
How to do it
- Open the campaign in draft.
- Select the lead list or lists to be called.
- Check the number of assigned leads.
- Save the assignment.
For a detailed guide from the lead list's perspective, see assigning leads to a campaign.
What to watch for
- Phone numbers: only contacts with a valid number can be called. See formatting phone numbers correctly.
- Fit: the lead list should match the campaign goal so the conversation is relevant.
- Duplicates: duplicate contacts should be cleaned up before the start.
What happens after the start
At start, the assigned contact and lead information is captured as part of the campaign state. Nexcal then processes the leads in a lead queue. The progress of each lead is traceable through the lead status.
Hinweis: Assign the leads completely before you start. After the start, the core campaign settings are locked. See why campaign settings are locked after start.
