Available time slots indicate when appointments are generally possible. From these time slots the Nexcal Calendar, together with the meeting duration and the booking window, calculates the concrete slots the AI voice agent may offer during the conversation.

Without released time slots, no slots are created and the agent cannot offer an appointment. Maintaining the time slots is therefore a central part of a working appointment booking.

From time slots to bookable slots

A time slot describes a permitted period, for example on certain weekdays and times. From this, individual bookable slots are formed:

• The meeting duration divides the time slot into individual appointments.
• The booking window limits which of these slots are actually offered.
• Appointments that are already booked are held back and not offered again.

Every offered slot therefore stays tied to your configuration and the current booking status.

Maintaining time slots sensibly

1. Define the periods in which appointments can actually take place.
2. Make sure the time slots match the meeting duration.
3. Take into account the lead time defined in the booking window.
4. Check regularly whether the time slots are still current.

Time slots and double bookings
