Opening and start of the call
The opening is the entry point into every call. The first few seconds often decide whether the contact is willing to listen. Nexcal starts each call with a clear greeting and states the reason for the call.
What the opening does
- The agent greets the contact.
- The agent states on whose behalf it is calling.
- The agent states the reason for the call.
- The agent transitions to the actual conversation goal.
The opening follows your script and the campaign rules. You define how the agent introduces itself and how it describes the reason for the call.
Designing a good opening
- Write a short, clear greeting in the script.
- Name the sender clearly so the contact understands the context.
- Describe the reason factually and without exaggerated promises.
- Keep the opening short so the contact can respond quickly.
An overloaded opening often leads to early drop-offs. A clear, calm start increases the chance that the conversation continues.
Responding to early questions
Some contacts ask a question during the opening itself, for example where the data came from or what exactly the call is about. The agent may address this within the configured rules and the knowledge, then return to the conversation goal.
Hinweis: The opening is part of your script. You change the entry point in the conversation script before the campaign starts.
