Processing of call data
When Nexcal calls a contact, call data is created. This includes call metadata and, depending on the configuration, documentation such as a transcript, summary or recording. This article explains which call data arises and how the types differ.
Metadata of a call
For every call, technical and organizational details are stored, including:
- call status and call outcome;
- the time, duration and connected talk time of the connection;
- the number of call attempts and the reason a call did not connect;
- the caller ID and campaign used;
- structured results in result fields.
This data enables you to review your campaign and trace individual calls. The connected talk time is also the basis for per-second billing.
Content documentation
Beyond metadata, content-level documentation can arise. These types are separate and depend on your configuration:
- Transcript: a text rendering of the conversation, see transcripts and summaries.
- AI summary: a condensed view of the conversation.
- Recording: audio of the conversation, only when configured and permitted, see recordings.
Hinweis: Transcript, summary and recording are different types of documentation. A recording is not active by default and requires appropriate configuration and admissibility.
Purpose of processing
Call data is processed to run campaigns, document results and evaluate the quality of your conversations. Processing takes place on behalf of your company.
Retention and rights
The storage period follows the retention rules. People who are called may express opt-out and stop requests; see do-not-call and opt-out.
